FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The couples that work best with me are laid back and go with the flow. They are open minded with photos and don’t mind doing a little (or a lot) of adventuring if it means awesome images. They are okay with wind, some rain, or even the bride getting a little dirt on her dress. They know the most important thing on their day is the vows they are making to each other and the sacred moments they get to share with their loved ones. Their wedding isn’t a big production or Pinterest perfection. Instead it’s about two people who love each other coming together to promise forever to one another while having their favorite people as witnesses to it all.

  • Because I believe in capturing the authentic beauty of my clients and keeping my images as true to life as possible, I don’t photoshop images. I don’t slim down waists, airbrush skin, or add in fake sunsets. However, I am happy to remove any major blemishes that just happen to pop up on your day.

  • You are not the first person to ask me this and certainly not the last! I have worked with many couples, especially grooms, who don’t like having their photo taken or are afraid of appearing awkward. FEAR NOT, because every single time I’ve had these clients, they come back saying what a good time they had and how comfortable it was for both of them! Trust me, I got this. You guys are gonna look AMAZING. <3 Want more proof? Take a look at my reviews. :)

  • While I don’t mind capturing an idea or two from your Pinterest board, I’m not a huge fan of making that the focus of our time together. My goal is to capture images that reflect you, rather than copying other people. By limiting the Pinterest ideas, we can maximize creativity and capturing unique photos that are true to you and your love.

  • I am based out of Grove City, PA but photograph clients all over Western PA.

  • Before I buy anything I am ALWAYS checking the reviews. It should be the same with your photographer! You can find more reviews on my storefront on The Knot or if you Google my business “Rachel Kunzen Photography” you can read reviews on my Google listing.

  • Almost all weddings I photograph alone. I have created a solid routine that enables me to get all the photos my couples want. If a second photographer is something you are interested in, I would be happy to talk about it further to see if it is something you need.

  • I do my best to incorporate techniques that allow couples to feel comfortable and allow me to capture your genuine personalities, whether that’s being silly or romantic. While I focus on capturing mostly candid images, I do pose my clients from time to time to take advantage of the lighting and location. My goal is always to get a combo of formal, fun, and romantic photos! Basically a little bit of all the goodness. Scan through any of the weddings I have featured on my site, and you will see what I mean. My style of editing is more earthy toned, with deeper shadows, but bursting with love, emotion, and heart.

  • After you fill out my contact form with all your sweet wedding details, we will set up a time to chat over the phone so I can hear more about your wedding plans. I make custom packages for each couple I work with based on what they want for their wedding day. After we chat on the phone, I’ll send over a proposal which will include custom packages made just for you, several full wedding galleries, and all of my pricing. If we decide we are a good fit for one another and you’ve selected your custom package, then I will send over an online contract and an invoice for the non-refundable retainer ($1000 due at signing). Once that is signed and paid, you are officially booked! YAY! :D The remaining amount is due 30 days before your wedding.

  • Due to my schedule, which generally conflicts with my clients schedule as well as that most of my clients live an hour away from me, I do not meet clients in person. I treasure my time in the evenings with my family—I’m sure you understand! However, I do try to have a phone call with every client that is seriously interested in booking.

  • Every wedding is SO different and it depends on things like: how many hours you hire me for, how many ‘events’ happen throughout your wedding day, etc. Generally, my clients receive anywhere from 500-850 images. You will receive them within 8 weeks after your wedding date through an online gallery where you are able to download them from.

  • At this time I am primarily photographing weddings within a 1.5 hour radius from Grove City, PA. Travel and accommodation fees may apply.

  • HECK YES. My camera has two card slots, so I have your images kept on 2 cards. When I get home, I upload the images to my hard drive, as well as my external hard drive. I also have a program running on my computer at all times, which is constantly backing up new photos to an offsite location (basically the cloud). So that’s 5 places total your images are kept.
